Help Give Annie the Gift of Fetch Again

Hey there,

In May of this year, we rescued a wonderful puppy named Annie and unfortunately, she needs a major surgery to live a full life.

Annie has been through so much for such a young pup. On St. Patrick's Day of this year she was rescued by an incredible organization who discovered she had Parvo and might not make it. But, she's so resilient and made it through. The organization gave her the name Lucky Clover as a result and while we've changed her name, she will always be our Lucky Clover.

We noticed in the first week of our adoption that Annie was limping a lot. It took several vet and specialist visits to eventually discover that our poor girl suffered a trauma long before we adopted her. Annie's femur was broken as a young puppy and unfortunately never healed correctly. This has caused her extreme discomfort which we mostly notice because she tries not to use her leg or paw. Unfortunately, this issue has caused her patella to constantly fall out of place and her hip has popped out of the socket on occasion which is very painful for our girl, requiring daily pain medication. Not only that, but her foot and leg have atrophied to a degree because she tries not to use it.

We're working with an unbelievable orthopedic surgeon who believes we can not only fix the issue but give her back almost full mobility so she can live a long healthy life - and get back to being a puppy again.

This procedure is expensive and that's before we consider post-op medication, therapy, and more.

While we weren't expecting a major surgery for a young pup we just adopted, we're committed to getting her the best care possible. She's a member of our family and we love her.
