My name is Giuliana Pekelder, I’m a junior at Ramona highschool and I’ve been wrestling for 10 years and wrestling isn’t just something I do it’s who I am. Every day, I step onto the mat with one goal in mind: to become the best version of myself, no matter how hard the journey gets.
This year, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity one that I’ve worked toward for years. I have the chance to compete at Fargo, one of the most prestigious wrestling tournaments in the country, and to attend an international tournament and training camp in Hong Kong. These aren’t just trips; they’re opportunities to grow, to challenge myself against top competition, and to represent everything I’ve worked for.
But opportunities like these come with a cost, and that’s why I’m asking for your support. My family dose so much for me but these are trips we can’t do on our own I don’t ask for much but your support would mean the word to me.
I’m not someone who takes shortcuts. I work 7 days a week early mornings, late nights, pushing through exhaustion, soreness, and doubt. I lift, I train, I drill, I study the sport, and I sacrifice things most people my age don’t even think twice about. Because I know what I want. I know what I’m capable of.
I have the heart of a champion. Not just in wins or medals, but in how I show up every single day with discipline, resilience, and a mindset that refuses to quit. Wrestling has taught me how to fight through adversity, how to stay focused when things get tough, and how to keep going even when no one is watching.
Fargo is where the best in the nation prove themselves. Hong Kong is a chance to compete on an international level, experience different styles, and grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. These experiences would push me to a whole new level and bring me one step closer to my dreams.
Your support would mean everything. Whether it’s helping with travel, tournament fees, or training costs, every contribution gets me closer to stepping onto those mats and representing my hard work, my team, and everyone who believes in me.
I’m not just asking for help I’m promising that I will give everything I have. I will carry your support with me into every match, every practice, and every moment.
Thank you for believing in me and being part of my journey.
