Dear Community Members,

You may know Girma Abate Dinku, for his commitment to serve the Lord at the Ethiopian Evangelical Baptist Church, his great personality, and charming smiles.  

Unfortunately, Girma passed away recently on February 22, 2021 and his funeral service will be held in Ethiopia where his mother and his siblings live. We are absolutely devastated by Girma’s passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service.

As his brothers in Christ, we have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses. The family was not prepared for high cost of the funeral, and during this difficult time we are reaching out to the community for help.

Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. We plan to raise $20,000 by February 27, 2021 in order to cover the cost of Girma’s funeral service. Any excess funds collected will be given to his family.

It would mean a lot if you could share Girma’s funeral fundraiser with others who knew him for those who would like to participate in this event.
