Hey everyone — it’s your favorite bass player stepping forward with something that hits deeper than any note I’ve ever played.
Girls Rock Sacramento turns 10 years old in 2026, and they’re not just celebrating — they’re expanding, evolving, and getting louder. And honestly? They’re a huge part of why I ever had the guts to pick up a bass and claim space on a stage.
I didn’t grow up thinking I belonged in music.
I didn’t grow up thinking I could take up space.
But LRC cracked something open in me — confidence, chutzpah, and that rock‑and‑roll “move over, I’m coming through” energy.
That’s exactly what Girls Rock Sacramento gives to young people — but earlier, louder, and with a whole community behind them.
GRS is where girls, non‑binary, and gender‑expansive youth learn to:
• Turn up their volume
• Trust their voice
• Take the stage without apologizing
• Build confidence through collaboration, creativity, and pure musical joy
This program doesn’t just teach music.
It teaches belonging.
It teaches leadership.
It teaches kids that they don’t have to shrink to fit into someone else’s idea of who they should be.
And now they’re growing — which means more campers, more instruments, more scholarships, and more chances for a kid to discover the power I didn’t find until much later in life.
Your donation helps:
• A kid go to camp who otherwise couldn’t
• Put real instruments into real hands
• Keep this program accessible, inclusive, and loud enough to change lives
Whether you’ve got $5 or $500, it all fuels the next generation of musicians who refuse to dim themselves down.
Thank you for helping Girls Rock Sacramento keep building confidence, community, and the kind of rock‑and‑roll courage that changes everything.
Let’s make sure their next decade isn’t just louder —
let’s turn it up to 11.
