Help Girlfriend Get Knee Surgery

If you've ever met Girlfriend, you know she is a sweet, sweet puppy with a big old heart. If you've ever met me, you know that I am just obsessed with her. She is my sunrise and sunset. When I saved her life, she saved mine. I was raped by a cop in May 2011, and in February 2012 he had been found guilty by a jury but not sentenced yet. I was in a spiritual, mental and physical limbo, and I was basically drinking myself to death. It was finding Girlfriend wandering on a snowy street in Detroit that brought me back to life.

Her Puppies

We've been through A LOT together. She had puppies and was heartworm positive when I found her. She's been attacked by dogs, and had to have surgery. Every time something goes wrong with her, my heart breaks. She has bad luck, but I have always taken care of her. She is always my first priority.

Not anymore! She's a happy Girl!

Last week Girlfriend started limping on her back leg, and I knew something was wrong. I immediately took her to the vet, where we learned she had a partial tear of her CCL (like an ACL, but for dogs). Although she was put on bed rest, I could tell it was getting worse and today the vet confirmed it was ruptured and she needs surgery. This is an unexpected cost and I just don't have the funds at this time. I've always tried to donate to your campaigns, and I never saw myself starting one, but if you know me you know I would do ANYTHING my Girl.
