Help Belle and Puppies Get Needed Vet Care
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
A few nights ago, my husband and I came across a dog in our neighborhood who had been abandoned. We’ve been trying to help her for some time, but when we saw her again that night, we realized something urgent—she’s very pregnant. She was panting heavily, and for a moment, we thought she might be in labor. We couldn’t bear the thought of her struggling outside alone, so we followed our hearts and brought her into our home.
Now that she’s safe with us, we’re doing everything we can to care for her, but she desperately needs a vet visit. She needs an exam, a parasite check, and an X-ray to see how many puppies she’s carrying and ensure they’re all okay. The cost for this is $250, which is just out of reach for us right now. Life has its way of throwing things at us when we least expect it, but we couldn’t turn our backs on this sweet mama.
I’ve already started her on flea medicine and Purina puppy chow, and I plan to foster her puppies until they are ready for loving homes. Once they’re weaned, she will be spayed so she never has to go through this again. But I can’t do this alone.
If you can find it in your heart to donate—even just a few dollars—it would mean the world. Every bit helps get "Girl" the care she needs to safely bring her babies into the world. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this would also be a huge help.
Donations can also be made directly to Brentwood Animal Clinic in Jacksonville, FL at (904) [phone redacted] under her name, "Girl."
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any kindness you can send her way. She didn’t deserve to be abandoned, but she does deserve a chance.
With gratitude,
Jaycee, Andy, Haylee & Girl ❤
*Her name is Girl in the system currently because we have yet to find the perfect name for such an amazing baby*
