Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping my nephew, Giovanni, experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: a class trip to Japan. This educational journey will allow him to explore a new culture, gain confidence, and create unforgettable memories — but we need your help to get him there.

Giovanni is a kind-hearted, thoughtful teen who’s been through a lot for his age. He has undergone two open-heart surgeries, as well as a spinal surgery, and has shown incredible resilience and quiet strength throughout his recoveries. He’s naturally shy and soft-spoken, especially around new people, but he has a big heart, a sharp mind, and a curious spirit.

He loves playing guitar, gets completely immersed in video games, and has developed a real interest in Japanese culture — from the technology to the music to the food. For Giovanni, this trip isn’t just about sightseeing; it’s a chance to connect with a culture he admires, step outside of his comfort zone, and gain some real-world confidence.

This trip could be truly transformative for him. It’s more than just a school trip — it’s a chance for Giovanni to step outside of his comfort zone, grow more confident, and see a world that’s very different from his own. He’s so excited (and a little nervous!), but we’re all incredibly proud of him for wanting to take this leap.

The total cost of the trip — which includes flights, accommodations, meals, and school program fees — is more than our family can cover alone. That’s why we’re hoping to raise $6,000.00 to help make this dream come true for him.
