Help Giovanni Stay in School: A Mother's Plea
Donation protected
Hello everyone & thank you for taking the time to learn about our cause. I am the mother of a student-athlete named Giovanni. Giovanni is an honors student at Holy Trinity Catholic High School. He also plays varsity football, wrestles & will join the lacrosse team in the spring. That will be contingent on his ability to stay in school.
My son is the oldest of 3 children. We live in Brooklyn where Giovanni travels daily at 6 am to Long Island to attend school. He has 12 hour days along with practice and clubs after school. I knew it would be an initial hurdle to maintain my son’s tuition however, his future depended on him having this opportunity. Unfortunately, I lost my job in September right after Giovanni began high school. I too am a student , working to receive my first degree in October of 25’ and become a certified surgical technologist in Feb of 26’. I am still actively seeking employment; however, we are currently experiencing serious temporary hardship. I have made small payments when able to; however, it has not been enough to cover close to everything. Giovanni was awarded this opportunity to attend Holy Trinity in the spring of this year, after the financial aide had been distributed for the year so he did miss out on certain funding this school year that he will receive for the new school year in February. He has a deadline of 12/15/24 to bring his account current.
I do have a job opportunity lined up and expect to be back on my feet by the new year. Giovanni deserves to stay in this school where he will gain a quality education and all the opportunities he may need. He loves school, his friends, his teammates. He excels in everything he does. The amount I am asking for will pay his past due balance as well as cover his upcoming monthly payment until I begin working again. Thank you in advance for considering my son in your thoughts and prayers.
