Help Gio On His Type 1 Diabetes Journey
Donation protected
Meet Giovanni "Gio" Trombetta - a sweet 5 year-old kindergartener from Eastchester, NY. On April 14, 2021, Gio was rushed to Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in New York City after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Weill Cornell Hospital where he spent over a week being treated and cared for. Thankfully, he is home and stable now with his parents, Michelle & Johnny and younger brother, Matteo.
His "new normal" entails frequent blood sugar monitoring, insulin shots, and a very strict diet. Though he faces a difficult road ahead, Gio is handling everything like the strong and resilient young man we know him to be.
Both Michelle & Johnny will be forced to take unexpected time off from work in order to care for their son. This, unfortunately, will cause a financial burden as Gio's medical expenses will grow considerably.
We are asking for any donation to help the Trombetta family navigate this difficult time.
Thank you.
