Help Gio begin his studies at Leiden University
¡Hola!
My name is Giovanni Díaz-Infante, and I am fundraising to cover the expenses of my first year of education at Leiden University College. I am originally from Mexico City, but I have studied in the Netherlands for the past two years, after being selected in 2019 to finish my high school studies at UWC Maastricht.
During my time there, my academic potential, community engagement and drive for social justice convinced me to become an agent of change for my community from the socio-legal sphere. Thus, I decided to apply to some of the top universities worldwide, receiving acceptance letters from UCL, Sciences Po and The University of Edinburgh (among others). However, since my graduation, my path towards higher education has become uncertain, as my family's financial situation and the lack of available funding options have hampered my chances of continuing my studies abroad.
As the deadline to make a final decision approaches, I have decided to study at Leiden University College (LUC), where I intend to pursue a bachelor in International Justice. I am confident that learning in such an international and politically oriented environment will push me to make great strides towards my goals: becoming a human rights lawyer that works towards strengthening the institutions of my country and fostering the social development of its people.
As aforementioned, the money collected will help me start my academic life at LUC. Part of it will go towards my tuition, whereas the rest will help me cover my living costs (mainly housing expenses). Your donation will help me build the foundations upon which I will be able to continue chasing my dreams.
