Help Ginny beat Lyme Disease.

My best friend Ginny has been battling some significant medical illnesses for many years. I have seen her go from a flourishing young woman who was at the top of her game in Outdoor Education, lecturing at University and being the President of Outdoors QLD, to being unable to work and needing many supports to function day to day.

After multiple years of searching for answers, hundreds of tests, many many doctors and specialists appointments, she finally got a diagnosis, a tick borne infection commonly known as Lymes disease.

As many of you would be aware, Lymes disease is not recognised by the Australian Government, so as a last resort, Ginny and her partner Clare have taken a huge step in travelling to Germany for treatment. This treatment is incredibly expensive on top of the tens of thousands of dollars they have already spent on appointments and medications.

For all those that know Ginny you know she would give the shirt off her back to anyone that needed it. Any donation big or small that you can give would be incredibly appreciated and help ease the unneeded stress that both Ginny and Clare are dealing with.

We have a fundraising goal that is well short of her treament costs, so lets smash out that first and then we can aim even higher!

This is her latest status update from Facebook:

"Having tested positive for tick-borne infections Borellia, Bartonella and various other multi-system infections, and having fought a long and difficult battle of debilitating symptom complexes over the last four years. Clare Dallat and I have taken an enormous plunge.

We’ve taken me to Germany where I am being hospitalised for a month. Here I am undergoing extreme treatments such as hyperthermia and photo dynamic therapy… in the hope of seeking good health.

Sadly, little recognition, help or treatments exist on Australian soil leaving us with one last option; here in St Georg Klink - Bad Aibling, outside of Munich Germany.
