Ginger is a 10-year-old Maltese-poodle mix who has been a beloved member of our family since my brother gifted her to my mom. After the loss of our first family dog, my mom struggled with depression, and Ginger brought light and comfort back into our home. She’s been by our side through so much, always offering love and companionship.

Recently, Ginger’s age has caught up with her. She developed arthritis, and her back legs gave out when she tried to get on the couch. The vet told us she’s having issues with her patella, and now she needs surgery on both back legs. Without this surgery, Ginger could lose the use of her legs entirely. It’s heartbreaking to see her in pain and unable to enjoy the simple things she loves, like cuddling on the couch or playing with us.

We’re raising funds to cover the cost of Ginger’s surgery and the aftercare she’ll need to recover—things like medication and follow-up visits.
