Ginger is my sweet 2-year-old orange cat who has always brought so much joy and comfort to my life. I rescued Ginger when he was a stray, and even though I am allergic to cats, I couldn’t turn him away. He quickly became a beloved part of my family, and I love him very much. My two sons adore Ginger and lovingly call him their brother—he truly is a part of our family.

About four days ago, Ginger suddenly became very sick. He stopped eating and drinking properly, and I noticed he was extremely fatigued and not his usual playful self. It’s been heartbreaking to watch him struggle, and I knew I needed to act quickly to get him the help he needs.

After taking Ginger to the vet, it became clear that he may need a feeding tube, along with several tests and medications, to give him the best chance at recovery. The costs for his care—including vet visits, lab work, and possible procedures—are adding up quickly. I want to do everything I can to help Ginger get healthy again, but I can’t do it alone.
