My name is Ginger Santos, and I am asking for support because I am in financial hardship. I am reaching out to friends and the community for support and encouragement during this time of adversity and hardship.

The clinic I worked for and loved so much closed abruptly in Dec 2023. I was grateful that I qualified for unemployment, but there was a waiting period, and only a percentage of my salary was paid. Between the waiting period and only being paid a percentage of my salary, my modest savings were depleted. It took some time, with it being the holiday season, to find work.

Unfortunately, I lost another job in Dec 2024 and was completely devastated. This time I did not qualify for unemployment. I was completely overwhelmed and terrified. Another job loss at the holiday time? I just kept thinking how long it took due to the holidays to get work last year. I was mentally and emotionally exhausted. I had no unemployment to fall back on this time and minimal savings.

My faith and prayer have always been important to me, during this time, I have kept God especially busy. Now that the holidays have passed, I finally started getting calls for interviews and got hired at a doctor's office starting next week. I am worried about things not getting paid. There is no money or any way to pay household expenses. I have pushed payment dates out as far as I can. Utilities are due in a week, thatI cannot extend further, food is very limited, and I need scrubs for my new job starting Wednesday, Jan 15. Then my house payment is due again soon. I just don't have the means to get this all paid, and I am afraid of losing everything. Any aid or relief anyone can provide would help me so much.
