Help Ginger Recover from Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
While on a trip to visit family, I left my cats (Ginger and Wasabi) in the care of a pet sitter while we were away for a few days. They are generally fine with just each other, but like company to come check everything and play with them.
On May 15th, I checked my cameras to see how the cats were doing, to find that Ginger had been puking multiple times throughout the day, which is very unusual. She would not answer any of our calls to her through the camera or even a loud alarm. I asked the pet sitter to go check on her, but I was honestly expecting the worst. She was rushed to the ER Vet where it was determined that she had ingested many foreign bodies and needed emergency surgery to remove them. We immediately booked flights to return to tend to our sweet Ginger. The surgery went well and she is now recovering comfortably at home.
While we do have pet insurance, we are still left with a pretty extensive vet bill after our coverage has maxed out. I am not usually one to ask for financial help from others, but I feel this is a time of need for our little pet family.
