Hi everyone! My name is Aleen Mirza and roughly one month ago, we received news that the biopsy taken from one of our cat's paws came back as cancerous. Ginger came into my family’s life back in 2015, along with two other furry babies we rescued from the outdoors. A once timid and unsocial stray cat somehow became the most loving, loyal, and affectionate companion one could ever ask for. Despite being only 10 years old, Ginger faces a pretty harsh reality, and it has been certainly hard to navigate. He has squamous cell carcinoma on his right paw pad, which is a pretty uncommon place for cats to develop this type of cancer. In order for him to continue to live the life he deserves, we were advised by amazing veterinarians and specialists to amputate his front limb to ensure the cancer does not spread. However, this procedure is very expensive and should not be put off any longer, as waiting increases the risk of his cancer spreading to other organs. Any help (big or small) would bring us one step closer to getting Ginger the treatment he needs. All the funds we raise will go directly towards covering half of his surgery costs and post-op care.
