Help Ginelle Overcome Her Accident and Heal

This is the story of Ginelle, a beloved member of the STL community, a small business owner, known for her caring, kind-hearted nature, and the unexpected journey she now faces.

While vacationing in Mexico, Ginelle experienced a horrifying accident. A shuttle van flipped, resulting in injuries to Ginelle and nine other passengers, with the driver fleeing the scene. Amidst the chaos, Ginelle feared the worst—a fractured neck, as indicated by local medical professionals.

Upon her return to the United States, Ginelle received a proper diagnosis that shed light on her true condition, diverging significantly from the initial assessments in Mexico. Fortunately, avoiding premature treatments in Mexico, which could have been based on a misdiagnosis, Ginelle is now under the care she rightfully needs. Her diagnosis includes a Grade 2 neck sprain, cervicalgia, a left lower lobe lung contusion, and a hemangioma in her right liver.

The road to recovery is laid out before her, requiring physical and trauma therapy, a regimen of morphine and muscle relaxers, and the temporary use of a cervical collar. The possibility of further consultation with an orthopedic surgeon, depending on how her condition evolves in the coming days.

Ginelle's journey back to health will be challenging and costly. The accident not only left her with significant injuries but also resulted in the loss of some belongings and medical expenses. The upfront medical expenses in Mexico and the ongoing medical care in the United States have placed a financial burden on her, one that she should not have to bear alone.
