Gina Vernon is my best friend, and today she and her family experienced something truly terrifying. While driving down Lake Gregory Drive in Crestline, CA, a tree suddenly uprooted and crashed down onto their car. Miraculously, Gina and her family escaped without injury, but the car was completely totaled. The shock of the incident has left them shaken, and now Gina is without her own vehicle to get to work, school, and daily activities. While this is not the family's only vehicle, it was Gina's car, and her husband often travels out of town for long periods of time for work. Having her own car is especially important for her and her family when he is away.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Gina purchase a used car so she can regain her independence and stability. Reliable transportation is essential in our mountain community, and losing her vehicle has put a huge strain on their lives. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping them get back on their feet.
