On January 19th, Gina Cardenas and her children faced the unimaginable. Her life partner and father of her children, George Cardenas, had passed away tragically. Though we may never understand, we stay comforted with the beautiful memories George made through his life journey. George leaves behind his life partner (Gina) and children who are devastated and navigating the shock of George's death. Gina is a self-employed esthetician and manicurist who is the sole provider for her household. She truly is the example of a "Proverbs wife," a strong mother, and her example of unconditional love for George was pure.

Over the next 4-5 weeks, Gina needs time to process the loss of George and to be strong for her children, helping them through these days and hours of grief. With Gina being self-employed, this means she would not be able to generate any family income to cover the costs of their monthly home expenses. There's no better way to honor the loss of a loved one than by providing support to their family. Gina has salon space rent, household utilities, all the while missing work over the next couple of weeks while arrangements are being made for George.

Myself, along with many people who love Gina and her family, are coming together with this platform to provide a love gift of donations so Gina can take the next 4 weeks off of work to care for her home front. This will take a heavy load off of Gina's shoulders if we can rally together and provide enough for her to cover her household income over the next month, work overhead, and a small peace of mind as they work through the waves of grief. Though no amount of money will fill the void in the Cardenas family's heart, the money donated here will help Gina not have a worry at home or when she goes back to work. Please find it in your heart to do something so good for someone so deserving! She's worthy, deserving, and has been dealt a difficult hand right now.
