My name is Gina, and I’m reaching out because I need help getting back some of the freedom I’ve lost over the years. When I was younger, rollerblading gave me a sense of joy and independence, but after 11 surgeries—including an ankle reconstruction, hysterectomy, and stomach surgery to remove cancerous growths—my life changed dramatically. Since 2012, I’ve faced ongoing health challenges, gained weight, and struggled with mobility and depression. My doctor recently suggested rollerblading as a way to safely strengthen my ankle, lose weight, and improve my overall well-being.
A new, supportive pair of rollerblades would mean so much to me. Not only would it help me exercise and get out of the house, but it would also allow me to spend more time with my granddaughter, teach her to skate, and regain some independence since I don’t have a car. I deal with body dysmorphia and see myself at my heaviest, and I know that getting active again will help my confidence and mental health. The less I weigh, the less medication I’ll need for my Parkinson’s, which is so important for my long-term health.
I hate to ask for help, but I truly need this to break the cycle I’m in. If I could afford it myself, I would. Your support will help me regain my strength, happiness, and hope for the future. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for helping me on my journey to healing.
Thank you all for your help. I ordered my blades aka rollerblades. Now I just have one more really important thing to get, special socks. To help against the skates. If anyone could help me get these. I know I’ve asked for so much, but I’m eager to do it again. But I will follow every direction he’s given to me. These are more than socks it also help reduce the pain where the incision marks are.
Thank you for all your help. Sending Hugs & Love to everyone who’s donated by now
