Help Gina Recover from Devastating Accident
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
On June 21st, our family found out our mother was struck by a speeding car while crossing the street on El Camino in San Mateo. She was immediately rushed to Stanford Trauma Center, and after many scans and tests, we found out she has a broken pelvis, severe injuries on both knees, a broken foot and ankle, as well as multiple staples in her head from the blunt force trauma when her head hit the cement. We are so lucky and thankful that this is all that happened because it could've been much worse. Gina is a single mother who is sending her children through college by herself. She will be out of work for a while as she has to relearn how to walk.
Gina has been released from the hospital but has a very long road of recovery ahead of her. She went to an acute rehabilitation on friday for a couple of weeks as her house has stairs. It would truly be appreciated if any donations could help with her medical bills and physical therapy.
Update on Gina: We wanted to share an update on Gina’s journey following the devastating accident on El Camino in San Mateo. After several weeks in the hospital and a stay in acute rehab, Gina has now been discharged and is continuing her recovery at her son’s home.
While we’re incredibly grateful she is no longer in the hospital, the impact of her injuries is still profound. Gina is unable to walk on her own due to her nerves being crushed, a fractured pelvis, a fractured right leg, and the head trauma she sustained. She requires assistance with daily activities and faces a long, challenging road ahead—one filled with physical therapy, pain management, and emotional healing.
If you know Gina, you know how deeply she gives—especially to her children. As a single mother, she’s worked tirelessly to support them and help them through college. Now, for the first time, she’s the one who needs support.
Gina is unable to return to work at this time, and the financial burden of her recovery is significant. Your generosity so far has been truly overwhelming, and we can’t thank you enough.
Your continued support—whether through donations, kind words, or simply sharing her story—means the world during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for keeping Gina in your thoughts, for your kindness, and for reminding her she’s not alone on this journey.
