Help Gina Kick Cancer’s @$$

June of this year was supposed to be my moms time to finally rest and start to enjoy her new life of retirement. She sold her home here in Chatham where she spent the last almost 22 years working for the village of Chatham. If you know my mom she is one of the most hardworking woman I know. Unfortunately she started retirement with some back pain. Slowly but surely it got worse and between the months of June and August visited prompt care and the ER numerous times for what they said was just a pulled muscle. At the end of August at an ER visit for some excruciating back pain, they found a spot in her spine. After a weekend at the hospital with further testing we found out it was a tumor between T7, T8 and, T9. The biopsy had come back as Large B Cell Lymphoma. This cancer has been very aggressive. While we have yet to receive the information about staging they have started Radiation with Chemo to follow. Depending on how her body responds she may need spinal surgery.
If you know Gina she is not one to ask for help. She is more often the one helping others. After her retirement in May she sold her home here in Chatham and moved 2 1/2 hours north to care for her mother. Unfortunately, she is the one needing taken care of now. With the multiple hospital stays she’s had and treatment to continue on top of travel, the expenses begin to pile up. Now that she is retired she is on a fixed income and I’d like to help lessen that burden on her. If you can please keep her in your prayers as we navigate this journey it would be greatly appreciated.
