Hi, my name is Gina, I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma on January 10, 2021. It’s a very rare and even more aggressive cancer that has spread from stage 1b to stage 4 in just a few weeks but I am a fighter and I can be stubborn or so I’ve been told. I’m going to fight this but I need help. I was admitted on Christmas Day 2020 with a hemoglobin of 2.8. I received nine units of blood before I was able to have surgery (Total Abdominal Hysterectomy) on 12-30-20. Pathology came back positive for Leiomyosarcoma on Jan 10, 2021 in which case it had already started to spread to my lungs. The most recent scan (Feb 17, 2021) shows tumors that have spread all throughout my abdomen. It’s all happening very fast and I’m trying to stay positive while my whole world has been flipped upside down. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Life is short, hug your loved ones. I will be posting updates as I take this journey. #leiomyosarcoma #LMS #cancersucks #iwillbeatcancer
