Gina and her family moved from Long Island, NY to Maine eight months ago, taking a huge leap to start a new life where they were hoping life would become more simple and less expensive. They took the jump, away from all of their family, to try to pursue this. They were trying to renovate their new home and settle in, and then the news arrived. Gina was diagnosed with breast cancer. She endured a just shy of 15 hour surgery and faced a double mastectomy with reconstruction on July 11th. Insurance is not covering a lot, which they recently found out about. The surgery requires a difficult and lengthy recovery, and she will not be able to work for quite some time. She has been pushing through, day by day. We are beyond proud of her, but there is still a long road ahead.

Gina is never one to ask for help, even in her darkest times, but she is always willing to give a helping hand to someone in need. And so, on her behalf, we are reaching out and are grateful for anything you might be able to contribute, no matter the size.
