I am asking for help today for someone who means the world to me — my best friend, Gina — one of the most selfless, loving, and genuinely kind people I have ever known.
Gina and her husband Jason have always been the brother and sister I never had. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, and community. They raised four incredible children and were blessed with four wonderful grandsons who brought them endless joy. Just recently, Gina and Jason celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary, believing they had many more years and memories ahead of them. Thankfully, they were able to witness two of their youngest children get married last year — moments they cherished deeply.
Tragically, everything changed when Jason passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 19th, at only 55 years old.
His loss has left behind not only a grieving family of twelve, but also a large community of friends whose lives he touched. The shock and heartbreak are unimaginable. Gina is now facing life without her partner, best friend, and the person she planned to grow old with.
Those who know Gina know she never stops giving. She works tirelessly as a hairstylist, often long hours on her feet, providing for her family while also caring for aging relatives nearby. She is always the one helping others — showing up, listening, supporting, and loving without hesitation.
Right now, she needs us.
As the first of the month approaches in just a few days, Gina is facing urgent financial responsibilities, including her mortgage and monthly household bills, while navigating overwhelming grief and shock. During this incredibly difficult time, we want to give her the space to mourn, heal, and be present for her children and grandchildren without the immediate weight of financial stress.
We humbly ask for any donation you are able to give — no amount is too small. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach those whose lives Gina and Jason have touched over the years.
Let’s come together as a community to support someone who has spent her life supporting everyone else.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity during this heartbreaking time.
