Just weeks before Christmas, Gina Alesi’s world was turned upside down. She was rushed to the hospital and later it was determined she has lung cancer that metastasized to her brain. She had emergency brain surgery to remove the largest tumor, just days before her daughters 13th birthday.

Gina is 45 years young, has two children, Michael Jr. and Mia, and her loving husband of twenty-three years Michael. Gina also cares for her mother Kathleen, who lives with her and her family, and not in the greatest health.

Due to Covid-19, Gina is not working and her unemployment has ran out. She is now facing rounds of radiation and chemotherapy to aggressively fight this illness. Luckily, Gina is a fighter! Born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia, she is prepared to fight this uphill battle.
