Help Gillian's Fight Against Cancer

One of the most magnificent creatures to ever grace the universe, Gillian Bentley, has recently been diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer, as well as stage 1A uterine cancer.
Despite her enduring optimism and strength, this journey has already begun to weigh a very heavy toll physically, emotionally and now financially.
Gillian spends most of every day helping others - both in her personal and professional life, and is one of the very special souls that has chosen social work as a profession. She is currently working for the Disability Network of Oakland & Macomb where she spearheads a program designed to provide elders with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to protect themselves from the world’s various means of abuse.
In her personal life, many of you may know her as Scrubby Mamma, the matriarch of the Scrubbing Bubble mutant vehicle that brings joy and laughter to Black Rock City and other local and regional Burning Man events.
Unfortunately, life has reciprocated roles, and it is now Gillian that needs protection and support. Thus far, medical interventions have included laparoscopic, robotic as well as open surgical procedures, and she has most recently begun a regiment of chemotherapy that will continue for several months into the foreseeable future. Medical bills are quickly and persistently rolling in, making an already challenging situation even more difficult.
The pressure of the financial burden is only one piece of this fight, but it is a part that we can make a difference in.
