Help Gillian and Sheridan with Expenses

Can you help a friend? Sheredon and Gillian Baptiste urgently need your help.

On December 9, 2020, a nail pierced into his Sheredon’s foot. He worked the entire day unaware of the fatal accident. When he arrived home that evening, he did his usually routine: took off his boots at the door and walked to the kitchen. Gillian noticed the bloody footprints on the tiled floors and immediately called out to him to discover what happened. She cleaned the wound and bandaged it up.

A couple of days later Gill noticed that Sheredon didn’t look well and was running a fever. So, they went to the hospital to check if everything was okay. The attending doctor redressed the wound, gave him a Tetanus shot, and a course of antibiotics to reduce the fever.

During that week, Gill realized the antibiotics was not having the effect as expected. In fact, Sheredon was deteriorating rapidly, and she became extremely concerned. Due to a major snowstorm, they were delayed but on December 18, Gill took Sheredon back to the hospital thinking his treatment would be minor and they would be back home before the afternoon rush.

The results from the medical tests were a blow to them both. The doctor discovered that Sheredon’s foot was now gangrene and septicemia in his blood was travelling to his main organs: they had to operate immediately.

Sheredon was taken by helicopter to an a nearby hospital for an emergency amputation of his lower left leg. If Gillian had delay going to the hospital by another day, Sheredon would have died.

By God’s grace, Sheredon is home now but his recovery could take up to a year. In a few months he will be fitted for a prosthetic, and then he has to learn to walk again. You can imagine the emotional and financial strain on this family.

You see, Sheredon is self-employed and the only provider in their home. Gillian stays home to take care of their disabled son, David. In addition, she has recently become the legal guardian of two grandsons who are six and nine years old. To make matters worse, they did not have medical insurance. They are expecting an enormous hospital bill well into thousands of US dollars.

We urgently need your help!

As friends and family of Gillian and Sheredon, would you be willing to help them through this difficult time? Your support will help them with their personal living expenses over the next 12-months, as well as their medical bill.

Gillian and Sheredon have always been caring of others and rarely ask for support. However, this time is different.

We all know that we’re living in precarious times, so anything you can donate to help Gillian and Sheredon through this challenging season in their life would be greatly appreciated.

We need to reach our goal within the next three months, but I’m hoping through your generosity we can exceed that number.

On behalf of Sheredon, Gillian, and David, God bless and thank you for kind support.
