Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine ended 80 years of peace in mainland Europe. I have been supporting the Ukrainian people in any way possible, giving both my money and my time; protesting, collecting aid, buying and driving vehicles 1600 miles to Ostroh and helping to distribute aid inside Ukraine. I’m a member of ‘The Cavalry Group’; you’ll find us on Facebook. We are not a registered charity, we’re just a group of like-minded volunteers who have been shocked into action. We have helped to source and supply over 100 vehicles and over 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid. The vehicles are vital for helping medics to save the lives of Ukrainian defenders and for supporting those families who have lost a loved one at the hands of the invaders. The humanitarian aid includes simple bandages, to catheterisation equipment, to electric buggies and wheel chairs and so much more. Tinned and dried foods, mobile battery packs, generators, Christmas gift boxes for kids, clothes for those who have displaced within Ukraine. This list of items needed is vast. We source and buy older SUV and 4x4 vehicles, sub £3000 if we can. It then takes another £500 to get them delivered/driven across to Ostroh where it will be handed over. We support a charity in Lviv that cares for orphaned children as a result of the war and she helps hundreds of amputee defenders. There's also a small group of military Mum’s who bravely deliver aid and food to the trenches on the eastern front line where their sons are fighting for the homeland. We support as many organisations as we possibly can. So far I have funded this myself but that money is now gone. Please may I ask for your donation so that I can continue in this work? Perhaps you’re able to be a regular giver? Perhaps you can sponsor the cost of a vehicle? Absolutely any donation of any amount from £5 to £5000 would be hugely appreciated, not a single penny will go to waste. Slava Ukraini
