My name is Nivida. My husband, Gilberto Guerrero Reyes, 61, was detained by ICE after a traffic stop in rural Texas on September 29. He was a passenger on his way to work and was held in the county jail on an immigration hold until ICE took custody of him on October 1.

Gilberto is a hardworking, humble man and the provider for our household. He has also been my caregiver. I am a cancer survivor, use an oxygen tank, take 10 medications daily, and need regular medical appointments. Without him, I am facing both emotional hardship and serious financial uncertainty.

We are asking for help with immigration attorney costs, legal and filing fees, household bills, food, medications, transportation, and my ongoing medical needs. Every donation and every share means so much to us.
