My name is Tay, and I’m reaching out for help for my dog Gilbert, who is not just my pet but my best friend and a beloved member of my family. Gilbert is only two years old, but in that short time, he’s become the heart of our home. He’s loving to everyone he meets, endlessly curious, and has a wide circle of friends and family who adore him. I can’t imagine my life without him by my side.

Right now, Gilbert is facing a medical emergency. He has a large open wound on his back right leg, right in the fold, with torn muscle and ligaments. The injury is so severe that he can’t even lay down comfortably, and he’s bleeding with exposed muscle and tissue. Gilbert can hardly walk and nearly yelps with each step. The longer I go without professional veterinary care, the higher the probability he will end up with a severe infection or go into shock from the pain. Seeing him in pain and unable to rest is heartbreaking, and I’m desperate to get him the care he needs to heal.

The funds raised will go directly toward Gilbert’s emergency veterinary care—covering treatment for his wound, surgery if needed, and any medication or ongoing care to help him recover. I am literally desperate for any kind of help anyone is willing to give Gilbert. I will never be able to fully show my gratitude for the ones that do. I don’t ask for help often, but this situation is more serious than anything I’ve faced before. I’m out of options and truly need support.
