Help Gil Fowler's Home Become Handicap Accessible
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out for your support to make a life-changing improvement to my parents' home—a bathroom remodel that will make it handicap accessible. This project is essential for improving the comfort and safety of my dad, Gil Fowler, who faces mobility challenges following his accident on January 20th. As many of you already know, my dad was hit by a car and is recovering with a broken wrist and two broken legs among many other injuries, both emotional and physical. After 26 days in the hospital, he was transferred to a skilled nursing facility on February 15th, where he remains today. With your generosity, we can create a space that ensures independence, dignity, and convenience, as Gil prepares to come home.
The remodel will include adding features such as a walk-in shower with safety rails and a bench, a more accessible sink, and a tall toilet. These adjustments will not only improve the daily quality of life but also offer peace of mind knowing that the bathroom will meet specific needs going forward.
We estimate the cost of the renovation to be $7,000-$10,000, which covers materials, labor, and any additional necessary adjustments to meet accessibility standards. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making this vital change a reality.
Thank you for your support, whether through donations or simply sharing this campaign with others. Your kindness will have a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
With heartfelt thanks,
Jessica Fowler
