Gigi is my 9-year-old yorkipoo and truly my baby, my travel buddy and bestie. I adopted her from a friend seven years ago, and she’s been a lovable, silly, and sweet companion ever since. Gigi has always been full of energy, chasing squirrels, jumping around, and never quite knowing her limits. Unfortunately, her adventurous spirit led to a serious injury while running on the beach, and she ruptured her CCL (the canine equivalent of an ACL) in her knee. Now, she’s in terrible pain, with her meniscus pinched and her right hind leg unused and starting to atrophy.

Gigi needs an intensive surgery called TPLO to repair her knee and give her a chance to walk and play again. The recovery will be tough, she’ll need to stay stationary for at least two months, confined to a crate or playpen except for short potty breaks. No leash walks for at least nine weeks. It’s going to be hard for both of us, but this surgery is her best hope for a pain-free future and a return to her happy, active self.

Covering the cost of surgery and recovery is a real challenge for me. I know times are tough for everyone, and I truly hate to ask for help.
