My name is Gigi, and I’m reaching out because I’m in crisis and need help to keep my home and car. About three years ago, I went through a traumatic event where I was assaulted and witnessed the loss of a friend. I sustained a head injury that has affected my memory and ability to think clearly ever since. The aftermath has been incredibly difficult, including coping with ongoing health challenges.
I moved to Jacksonville, FL, for work, but in October 2025, I lost my job. Since then, I’ve been struggling to keep up with rent, my car note, utilities, and other basic needs. I have a new job lined up, but I haven’t started yet, and I’m falling further behind on bills. I’ve reached out to local organizations for emergency assistance, but resources are limited and waitlists are long. I’m doing everything I can, but I’m running out of options and time.
What I need most right now is emergency support to keep my apartment and car. Losing either would make it nearly impossible to start my new job and get back on my feet. I’m asking for help because I truly don’t know what else to do. Any support you can offer will make a real difference in helping me stay housed, keep my car, and move forward. Thank you for reading my story and for any help you can give.
