Little GiGi was just getting settled into her new home with mama Barbara and big bro Kobe when she was viciously attacked while hanging outside by a stray dog, causing massive and long-lasting injuries. Her top jaw and nasal cavities were crushed, and she had substantial brain swelling!

Barbara spent all night rushing her around to emergency vets to get her care while not knowing if she would make it or be advised to keep her alive. The good news came across today that she, for now, is going to fight on… but the battle is far from over.

There is a high likelihood that when her jaw fully develops, she will have major difficulties with her jaw/teeth being trapped or infected, while also facing a lifelong battle with her nasal cavity :(

For now, we know she is fighting, and Barbara has taken on the first $2,200 vet bill to keep her alive, but the follow-up appointments and inevitable surgeries to ensure a quality of life for this little girl are just around the corner!
