Help GiGi Get Emergency Vet Care

UPDATE

Hi everyone, I’m raising funds for my sweet 5-year-old cat, Gigi. For the past 1–2 months, Gigi has been suffering from chronic bloody diarrhea and weight loss. Despite eating and drinking normally, she hasn’t been improving. At her recent vet visit, the doctor noted ongoing large intestinal diarrhea, weight loss, and an unkempt coat. They are currently trying to rule out serious conditions like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), parasites, or other underlying gastrointestinal issues. So far, she has received medication and will need further diagnostic testing, including a fecal exam, bloodwork, and possibly an abdominal ultrasound to determine the cause and create a treatment plan. These tests are essential to get her stable and feeling better, but the costs are adding up quickly. Gigi is only 5 years old and deserves a healthy, comfortable life. Any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward her medical care and diagnostic testing. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean so much to us. Thank you for helping me give Gigi the care she needs. ❤️

Hi everyone, I’m raising funds for my sweet 5-year-old cat, Gigi. For the past 1–2 months, Gigi has been dealing with chronic bloody diarrhea and weight loss. After her recent vet visit, they suspect either intestinal disease (such as inflammatory bowel disease) or parasites. We are currently waiting on the results of a stool sample, which should come back within 24 hours to rule out parasites. The vet gave Gigi a steroid injection that should help if this is intestinal disease. We’re hoping to see improvement soon. However, if the stool test is negative and the steroid doesn’t resolve her symptoms, the next step will be an abdominal ultrasound to look for underlying intestinal issues. The ultrasound alone is estimated to cost $600, not including any additional treatment she may need. Gigi is only 5 years old and means the world to me. I just want answers and to get her healthy again. The unexpected testing and treatment costs are overwhelming, and any support — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page — would mean so much to us. Thank you for helping me fight for Gigi’s health.

Recently, in October of 2025, I had to relocate and temporary rehome three of my cats. This decision was hard to make and broke my heart, but I wanted to make sure my cats were not only loved but cared for. The goal was to move down South to start over, recoup finances and save money and pay off debt in hopes of finding a new home for my family and I. Given the circumstances, we are still here and my cats are still with their fosters. Recently, GiGi has been having some health issues that i did address to her vet and was advised to give her probiotics to help with the issue at hand.

GiGi is my sweet five-year-old cat, and she means the world to me. Recently, she started having sudden, bright red bloody diarrhea, and I am beyond worried about her health. Right now, GiGi is living with a temporary foster while I work through a relocation, which makes this situation even more stressful. I want nothing more than to make sure she gets the care she needs to recover and come home healthy.

After speaking with the vet, I learned that there will be an emergency visit fee and a cost for the stool sample. There’s a good chance GiGi will need additional testing and medication, depending on what the vet finds. Unfortunately, I am currently out of work and have no income, so covering these unexpected expenses is impossible on my own. I am doing everything I can to make sure GiGi is safe and comfortable, but I need help to get her the urgent care she deserves.

If you are able to support GiGi’s emergency care, it would mean the world to both of us. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward her vet visit, testing, and any medication she needs to get better. Thank you so much for reading our story and for any help you can give. Your kindness and support will help GiGi get healthy and come home where she belongs.
