Gidget Elizabeth Broadway Reynolds is a 70 year old God-fearing woman that has been through a horrendous ordeal. While attempting to contain a fire in her kitchen, she was thrown to the floor and begin to burn. If it hadn’t been for her 4 year old grandson Zyaire King Green, she would not be here today. Zyaire called his mom and she gave him instructions that lead them, including the family pet (Precious) to safety. Emergency Staff completed a thorough check on everyone involved in the incident. Precious and Zyaire suffered no injuries. While Gidget suffered 3rd degree burns on her face, arm, chest and leg. She was hospitalized for 7 days. Upon her discharge from the hospital, she learned that she is facing eviction. DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC and due to the time frame being over 6 months to complete repairs. In addition, to that devastating news, she was also advised that her rent would increase where as making her financially ineligible to renew her lease agreement .. Gidget is on a fixed income .. Given the circumstances, she is trying to stay in good spirits but she has fallen in and out of a depressed state. At this point she is living with relatives. However, she really wants to become independent again and not remain homeless for too long. With your help we know that she will be back to the fun loving active energetic Gidget we all know.
