Help Giddy Recover from Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
My name is Elias, and I run Structured K9 Training in Vista, CA. Many of you know me through the dogs I’ve trained and the three Dobermans who have been the heart of my program: Sasha, Creeper, and Giddy. I am a Navy veteran, a retired law enforcement officer, and the Director of American Legion Riders Chapter 365. Asking for help isn’t something I do easily, but today I have to. My dog Giddy needs help.

Giddy came to me after being passed around through multiple homes before he was even a year old. He finally found stability here and became a big part of my training team, helping every dog who walked through our doors. He even taught me a new style of training that changed my entire program.

Over the past year, Giddy has faced one emergency after another. The first was a life-saving surgery to remove a rope he had swallowed. His blood pressure dropped dangerously low during the procedure, and the team had to manually pump his heart to keep him alive. I spent the entire night giving him IV fluids at home because the clinic didn’t have overnight staff. About eight weeks ago, he tore a major ligament and needed orthopedic surgery to reconstruct his knee. That gave him the ability to walk again.

Last night, Giddy went into bloat, one of the most dangerous emergencies a dog can face. I recognized the signs immediately and rushed him to the ER. X-rays confirmed his stomach had twisted, and he needed emergency surgery to survive. As I write this, I’m sitting in his recovery room, stroking his head while he fights through the pain and tries to eat so I can eventually take him home. He’s hooked up to IVs and exhausted, but he’s trying.

Between the first two surgeries and this new emergency, Giddy’s medical costs have become overwhelming, and I’m humbly asking for help with his veterinary expenses.

All funds will go directly toward Giddy’s emergency surgery, hospitalization, medications, and the follow-up care he’ll need to fully recover. Any amount truly helps. If you can’t donate, even sharing this page makes a difference. Thank you for caring about Giddy and helping me bring him home.
