On Memorial Day, Gib discovered he had a massive brain tumor on his brain stem. He was rushed to U of M to be treated by arguably the best surgeon in the state for this difficult tumor placement. Unfortunately, it was also discovered he has an AVM on his brain as well. Both of these conditions are life-threatening, incredibly high risk, and rare on their own. The surgeon described it as a 1 in a billion lottery card you wish you didn’t have to have both of these conditions. Initially, he will be needing surgery to remove the tumor. This will be a very long, potentially 20+ hour surgery, and he will have months of recovery ahead of him. We anticipate surgery to be within the next couple of weeks but hopefully sooner.
Gib will not have a steady income during his recovery. Any donation to help with medical bills would be greatly appreciated during this challenging time.
