Help Gianna Deveney Afford Housing for Spring
Donation protected
On the night of October 19, 2021, a fire was started in a Barnard College dorm as a result of an art project for class that involved a flame. The student and her roommate lost all their belongings as a result. In response, the college has placed the student on disciplinary probation and termination of Barnard College housing for the rest of her undergraduate career. When Gianna appealed the sentence, the University restored her housing for 2024 and 2025. However, Gianna is an 18 year old freshman who has been kicked out of the quad for two years and is now forced to live on her own during her second semester in New York City. She cannot afford housing on top of replacing all the things she lost—her phone, computer, textbooks, and many items of sentimental value. Please contribute to the fundraiser so we can make sure Gianna gets housing! If she does not, she may not be able to continue attending Barnard. We need to secure Gianna's housing before she gets kicked out on December 23. Anything helps!
