Hi, My name is Corinna, and I'm fundraising for my mom and sister.

Two years ago, my mother, Gianna, was an essential worker, A HERO. For 14 years, my mother gave her life to the city of New York as a proud officer. Late night shifts that easily turned into doubles. Since I can remember, my mother worked hard to provide for my sister and me, no matter the circumstance.
Now, after watching my mother struggle as a single parent, I watch her struggle to support herself and find shelter. After 14 years of dedication to a career as an officer, her efforts aren't met with merit or reward. My mother and sister no longer have a home to call their own.

Amongst the COVID-19 pandemic, as thousands of families are displaced due to illness, nationwide job layoffs, vaccine mandates and inflation, they have been forced to vacate their home, with no rent forgiveness offered. Both laid off, my mother and sister's decision to remain free of the COVID-19 vaccine has led to their jobs forcefully removing them from the workplace, with no financial aid or resources thereafter.
My mother is still my hero and always will be my hero. Still, it is very hard to see her struggle to find shelter, be forced out of her home and job after serving as an essential worker for 14 years. This is why we need your help. With little-to-no support from the state or government, I am turning to my community to help us find a way to support my mother, my hero.
