Gianna Montella interned with Tallahassee Memorial Animal Therapy two years ago, and she and her boyfriend Tyler became a part of our family. In December 2023, Tyler suffered a brain bleed due to a very rare condition called Arteriovenous malformation and brought their world to a screeching halt. As a young couple in their mid 20s, they were faced with challenges that most do not ever experience. Tyler's recovery was nothing short of miraculous.

On Monday, May 5th, Tyler suffered another catastrophic medical event and it was clear that Tyler would not recover. He became an organ donor, saving several lives in the process.

Gianna needs our support while she navigates life without her partner. We would like to ensure that we can at least help take some of the financial strain that is inevitable off her plate and make sure that Gianna, their dog Ernie and their two cats do not have to worry about money while they mend their broken hearts.
