My name is Alina Rodriguez and I am reaching out on behalf of my beloved son, Giancarlo Espinoza. Over the past year, we have embarked on a challenging journey together, one that began with the shocking discovery that Giancarlo Espinoza had a severe kidney condition that ultimately required a transplant.

The challenge,

The process leading up to, during, and post-transplantation was a complex and costly one. Beyond the medical procedures themselves, we've faced numerous consultations, medications, rehabilitation, and regular check-ups. While we were prepared for some of the expenses, the cumulative cost has been much higher than anticipated. In addition to financial strain, our family has experienced emotional and physical challenges, and there's a long road ahead to ensure Giancarlo Espinoza’s complete recovery.

We are immensely grateful for the kidney donation, a gift that has undeniably saved my son's life. Now, we turn to you, our community, to ask for assistance in alleviating the burden of medical bills and associated costs. In our journey to secure a bright and healthy future for Giancarlo following his kidney transplant, we've incurred a series of costs. The pre-transplant evaluation is vital for ensuring transplant suitability. The surgery itself, a critical procedure, cost 1.4 Million dollars which we were responsible for 30%. Post-surgery, Giancarlo's hospital stay. As he continues his recovery, the monthly medications, which include essential immunosuppressants and other drugs, regular follow-up appointments and lab tests. We also account for incidental expenses such as transport, accommodation, and meals. Furthermore, the time taken off work for caregiving and recovery has led to a loss of income. Combining all these expenses, our total fundraising goal is set at $300,000.
