Help Giana Go To Washington!
As many of you know, Giana is a gifted and focused student. This year, thanks to the nomination of her teacher, she was recognized for her scholastic achievements and strong character with the prestigious honor of an invitation to attend the Junior National Young Leader’s Conference (JrNYLC) in Washington, DC. this summer.
This once in a lifetime opportunity will include a week of workshops and classes in our great nation’s capital focused on developing leadership, communication, collaboration, and goal setting skills. It will also include educational segments about advocacy and being a voice of change. There will be trips to historical landmarks, museums, and institutions and opportunities to focus on the evolution of our democracy and to learn about our branches of government.
We are over the moon with excitement about this incredible chance for Giana to be immersed in such an amazing wealth of culture and history and to have the opportunity to sharpen her leadership skills as she prepares for her teenage years and the next phases of her education back at home. We know she will make the most of this experience.
Here is where we need your help!! We will be responsible for providing the full tuition for Giana and a chaperone, including airfare, hotels and meals. We estimate that we will need to raise $7000 to provide Giana with this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. As you know, our family is on a fixed income due to my Lupus and limited ability to work with this health condition. This will be a challenging proposition and I am devastated to think about Giana missing this great chance to make her mark as a young visionary and leader.
Any amount you would like to sponsor toward her experience would help her tremendously! Thank you so much for helping our girl go to Washington and build a strong foundation as a future leader. We are so grateful for our loving support system!!!
