My name is Gi Gonzales, and I believe that platonic love is truer than romantic love. My best friend Anna is the best relationship I've ever had, and the only person who I feel can truly understand every fiber of my being. I feel that platonic relationships are often undervalued in favor of romantic relationships, and I hope to challenge that notion with this film.

In this film, as Lisa relives the heartbreaks of her past, she discovers that growing up means realizing love isn't always found in romance, but in the best friend who's been there all along. From first queer crushes to college frat boys, Lisa has never quite been able to catch a break when it comes to romance. All she wants is to be understood and loved for who she is, and she soon realizes her best friend Jean has done exactly that for years. Lisa understands that romance doesn't compare to the platonic love of her friendship with Jean, and that this friendship is all she needs.

As a film production student at USC, this film is my only chance to direct a script that I have written. This story is incredibly personal to me, and therefore it is a story I care for deeply. I am raising funds to support the production of this film. While the production of this film is required as part of my course of study, the university does not provide any financial support. I will be utilizing my own funds to bring this film to life, however those funds are not enough. Please give what you can.
