Ghost is more than just a pet, he’s family. After he got out of the house, we were unable to trap him for 37 days. Since coming home, Ghost hasn’t been himself. He’s barely eaten and isn’t interested in drinking anything, so we took him to the vet. Our vet diagnosed him with hepatic lipidosis, and he spent two days in the hospital receiving IV fluids and medication. Even after being discharged, Ghost continued to struggle, eating only tiny amounts and still not drinking. At his recheck, his bloodwork showed things were getting worse, and the only option left was to send him to an emergency vet for a feeding tube and possible blood transfusions due to his worsening anemia. He’s now at UPenn, where he’s receiving the care he needs to have a chance at recovery; which comes with an estimated price tag of $10,000-12,000 (originally $8,000).
All funds raised will go directly toward Ghost’s hospital stay. We want to give him every chance to recover and come back home to the family that loves him so much. Ghost has a deep connection with our kids and my husband—he’s always looking out for us, and now we want to do the same for him. He’s only 6 years old and deserves a fighting chance to get through this.
Thank you for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, means the world to us and brings us one step closer to bringing Ghost home healthy and happy.
For those who prefer not to donate through GFM, I do have Venmo (EggspectoPatronum)
and Zelle, both under my name!
