Can You Help a Family in Gaza?

Hello, My name is Ghaydaa Abu Dalal. I am a 22 year old Palestinian woman from the Gaza Strip, and I am writing to you today with a plea for your support. My family and I, like the majority of Palestinians in Gaza, have been forced out of our homes in search of safety. We face unimaginable hardships, but we are still determined to build a future for ourselves through education, with your help.

Our Story

Before the war began, I was enrolled in my fourth year in university studying accounting. Now, I cannot complete my degree here in Gaza because my university was tragically bombed and destroyed, as you can see in the pictures. I am seeking your support to help me complete my education abroad in Egypt, so that I can establish a career and successfully support myself in the future.

In addition, my two younger siblings will travel abroad with me to complete their education. My younger sister Hazar is a middle school student aged 14 years old, and my brother Mohamad, 20 years old, has completed the first year of his culinary school program to become a chef.

Our Goal

We aim to raise $42,520 to support the three of us as we complete our education in Egypt once we are able to evacuate. Completing our education is a powerful tool for us to support ourselves and have long-term stability in the future.

Aside from the cost of living, funds will cover additional expenses including first month's deposit and rent for housing, local travel fees in Egypt, and tuition costs for the three of us for four years.

Estimated Cost Breakdown

Tuition for two university students, annually = $2,500

Tuition for one high school student, annually = $400

Accommodation for three, annually = $5,000

Food expenses for three, annually = $1,500

Transportation for three, annually = $450

Books, supplies, and miscellaneous, annually = $780

Total estimated cost = $10,630 x 4 years = $42,520

Funds may also be used for:
