Love for a family in need. ♥️

On March 5, 2021 my sister Breanne left an 11 year abusive relationship. She is now a single parent to 6 beautiful children, ages 10 years to 8 months. They are all victims of domestic violence.

Breanne is beyond grateful to have been able to get out with her children, but the family is forced to start over as they were not able to take much with them when they fled their previous home in Kanab, Utah. They have been slowly gathering all the items needed to run a home and support a family, but there are still many things missing.

A home is being renovated for the family in Colorado City. Money is needed to buy materials and pay for laborers to complete the work in a timely manner. The family has been living in a one-room studio apartment for two months and they are needing to relocate to a bigger space. At this point the home is ready for texture. After that is painting, flooring, carpet, swamp cooler service, cabinet repair and refinish, plumbing work in the 2nd bathroom, and there is a hole in the roof that must be repaired. The family will also need to purchase a stackable washer and dryer.

Breanne has been taking the children for wellness visits, where certain medical needs were discovered for all but one child that require very specific treatment. She is also in the process of obtaining birth certificates and social security numbers for her children. This is proving difficult as she gave birth to all of them at home without a midwife.

Without birth certificates, she is unable to qualify for health insurance, food stamps, WIC or cash assistance programs. She does not know how long it will take to obtain documentation for her children.

Breanne and her four oldest children are all attending weekly therapy sessions. Their lives are extremely busy and there always seems to be something else to add to the to-do list. Breanne has been working with a victim's advocate and the court system to obtain a protective order for her and her children. She is now beginning the process of getting legal custody of her children. Breanne is also making arrangements to have her children evaluated through the school system and deciding how and where she would like them to be educated.

Due to her current situation, Breanne has not been able to commit to a job or procure child care in order to work. This is slowly becoming more achievable, but at this time, her family is urgently in need of financial support. We thank everyone who has already extended their love, contribution and prayers. Every little bit helps Breanne build a new life for herself and her children! ❤
