Help Zach get back on his feet. Literally.
On July 28th, my brother Zach was injured in a dirt bike accident. If you know Zach, you know how much he loves to ride. Unfortunately, this accident left him with a broken Talus in his right foot, and his left foot badly sprained. He had surgery to have pins placed on July 29th, and will have an additional surgery on August 9th.
Since Zach is a delivery driver for UPS, his feet are vital to his work performance. His doctor has estimated that it could take up to 6 months to make a full recovery and get him back to work. He has a couple weeks of vacation time and sick days, but after that he will be out of work until he has recovered. Zach has a family of 5 to support and being out of work for so long is daunting. Zach is a self-made man. He's worked hard for everything he has and would continue to do so if he could.
If you know Zach, you know that he would never ask anyone for help. However, he would drop everything to help anyone in need. Whether you know him because he picked up your garbage, delivered your packages, rode dirt bikes with you, grew up with you... it's the same Zach we all know: selfless and fun. You would also know that being sedentary is torture for him, as he's an active person. Please help us ease his burden so he can focus on recovery and get back to the life he's built for himself and his family.
If you’re able to help lift some of this weight off of his shoulders, Zach, his family, and all who know him well would be forever grateful. Twenty-thousand seems like a lot until you consider that it's to provide for a family of 5, in Missoula, for 6 months. Nobody expects the angel gift, but any amount adds up quickly.
