Help Get Vince Back Home

As many of you know, my mom and dad sold their home in California in 2021. They bought and lived in an RV, and for almost a year, visited national parks and traveled throughout the United States. In 2022, when they were traveling, they fell in love with Florida, and purchased a home in Orlando. They decided it was time to open a new chapter in their lives. That was the start of their Airbnb business. In 2023, I decided to come along too, and moved in with them.

But on June 10, 2025 -- my dad passed away.

It was just another normal day. After picking me up from work, my dad took our dog Indy out for a walk while I started making dinner.

During their walk, an out of control dog pinned Indy down, and viciously bit and punctured Indy’s neck.

My dad sprang to action immediately, and quickly separated Indy from the jaws of this violent dog. However, due to the extreme stress of the encounter, my dad suffered a major cardiac event that suddenly ended his life.

My dad’s death was completely unexpected. Unfortunately, no one knew about his prior heart problems, not even his doctors. Despite his diabetes, my dad was energetic, losing weight, and full of youth. He had just visited Epic Universe with me for his 61st birthday. If you know my dad, you know he was a kid at heart. He loved collecting Star Wars and Marvel replicas, making coffee art and breakfast, we were not prepared for this massive tragedy. Now we are trying to figure out what to do next.

After some careful thought, my mom and I decided my dad should be sent back to California where he can be with his family. My dad always believed that his family was most important to him, so being nearby is what we know he would have wanted. Eventually, we will move back there with him too . But getting him to California won’t be easy.

The trip and funeral there will be costly, and with my dad’s emergency medical bills and the cost of Indy’s treatment, we are struggling financially with this situation.

So we are asking for help from anyone who is willing to give it. It would mean a lot to us since the emotional trauma of losing him is already so difficult to bear. Securing funds to help with all of these expenses would give us peace of mind on the financial front.
